AAE College Hammer-Discus Cages are designed to meet and exceed the specifications outlined by the NCAA. This attention to detail is crucial in ensuring that all throws meet the standards required for qualification and certification of records according to the rules set by the NCAA.

• The main safety net is secured inside the cage to prevent flying implements from striking the framework
• Available in single-pad or dual-pad design, offering additional depth as needed
• The College Hammer-Discus (CHDC) model meets NCAA specifications with a main net height of 20'
• The optional Extended Height (CHDC-EH) model offers an additional 4' of main net height for an overall height of 24'
• The NCAA Recommended Height Hammer-Discus Cage (CHDC-RH) model exceeds NCAA recommended guidelines with a main net at 9.14 meters (30') and swivel gates at 10.05 meters (33')
• Aluminum posts with 36" cantilevered offset for stability and durability
• Posts come in standard aluminum mill finish
• Gate's frame structure features a 3/8" thick rubber surface on the entire inside face, reducing damage to the framework
• Exclusive double-ply net made with 2-1/2" square #820 knotless nylon featuring 800 psi strength used on both the main net and gate nets
• Optional backup nets are available for installation outside the cage to keep people away from potential danger zones near the main safety net
• Dual swinging gates offer flexibility for narrowing the throwing area for hammer events and meet NCAA rule specifications, accommodating right-handed or left-handed throwers
• Hammer Gate Wheel Locks anchor left, right, or both gates in position to avoid accidental movement.
• Cage gates are fabricated with heavy-duty structural aluminum pivot posts and a completely welded structural aluminum frame for durability
• A special "cable-frame" design on the outer vertical gate edge eliminates the framework in the area most frequently struck
• Includes aluminum ground sleeves with synthetic caps for easy installation and removal
